On December 3, Dessignare.Studio set up a special spot with projection mapping in the Auditorium of the Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City during the activities of the DestaCADO 2023 Festival.
To celebrate the first hybrid edition of the DestaCADO Festival, the creative group Dessignare Media and Cosmonaute 360 participated in a online class about projection mapping techniques and at the end of the presentation we invited the artistic community to be part of a live showcase of illustrated talent through the call “Proyecta tus ideas.”
How did the artists participate?
Artists were invited to create an origina illustration to be be projected inside the silhouette of Caco or Kyübu (characters of CADO and Cosmonaute 360). This installation with video mapping served as an exhibition space to project visuals and illustrations created by the community.
To build a bigger and stronger community, the participants had the chance to submit their art and social media handles. Dessinare team was in charge of projecting the illustrations and the usernames to boost the possibility of you gaining new followers.
At the end of the day, Dessignare and CADO gave away special prizes among the participants of “Proyecta tus ideas” and the visitors to the Cosmonaute 360 stand at DestaCADO.
The prize included a graphic tablet sponsored by XPPEN. Dessignare also sponsored a scholarship for the new Projection Mapping workshop that was anounced during the event and will happen on the first quarter of 2024.
