On March 30, 2023, we were invited to visit the Chamber of Deputies and participate as exhibitors for the Neuromante Forum, dissertations on new audiovisual narratives and disruptive technologies.
Dessignare Studio team was invited by FICMA to present their new virtual reality film “Cosmonaute 360 – Mission: RESCUE” and talk about immersive media.
Thank you to FICMA and María Eugenia Hernández for the invitation. We took this opportunity to spoke with people responsible for legislation to raise awareness about the importance of supporting new media projects and how to adpot technologies by showting some of the applications of extended reality and interactive art in different areas from education, training and therapeutic entertainment.

This forum took place for three days at the Legislative Palace of San Lázaro, with conferences, projections on artificial intelligence, virtual reality samples and dialogues with filmmakers and robots. It is worth mentioning that the film directors who participate in FICMA use unconventional tools to create their products, such as VR headsets, mobile phones, drones, go-pro cameras and artifical intelligence.
The organizers of FICMA and Neuromante generate events in which new audiovisual narratives, technology and cinema converge. Their 2022-2023 editions will explore themes on artificial intelligence and its multiple implications.
The representatives of Camara de Diputados reiterated the commitment of the current Legislature to promote contemporary cinema with new technologies, while she proposed creating a budget item to support new filmmakers.
